The following is a brief introduction to the characteristics of pharmaceutical blister packaging and the problems that should be paid attention to in the printing coating.

Blister packaging is the most commonly used ideal packaging method in drug packaging. By aluminum foil, forming gravure and coating protection and heat seal, adhesive, rigid plastic drugs in the hole, mesh, shell and bubble formed by plastic film, can be moved hot seal blanking, to ensure the safety of the product. Blister packaging first appeared in Europe in the 1930s. In the 1980s, China began to introduce technology, equipment and raw materials, from monochrome printing, gradually developed into color multi-color series printing. Blister packaging is widely used in recent years, the fastest growth of flexible packaging materials, food, health products, pharmaceuticals and other fields of the main form of packaging. The main packaging materials of blister plastic are medical PTP aluminum foil, rigid plastic foil PVC and adhesive.

PTP medical aluminum foil is a kind of sealing material which is sealed on the hard medical plastic foil. The surface can print text or patterns, and the front and back have good printing performance. Aluminum foil is made of 99% electrolytes, calendering and other processing aluminum foil, non-toxic and tasteless, good electrical conductivity, light resistance, moisture resistance, etc. In modern packaging, almost all flexible composite packaging materials require high barriers or shading. All aluminum foil is used as a barrier material. This is because aluminum foil has a highly compact metallic crystal structure that is perfectly capable of blocking any gas.
